Balancing parenthood and class needs contentment

Parenthood in campus is a challenging task that most students would never want to be associated with as it is too demanding and time consuming. Many term it as a way a fact that hinders them from life enjoyment in campus.

According to Evelyn Nyaboka, a fourth year student in Moi University who is a young teacher, balancing motherhood and class is not a big deal to her. She loves her kid and would do anything on earth to sustain her.

"Am able to wake up early to ensure that my boy has something to eat during the day, I do not rely on house girls to prepare a meal for Raymond," Evelyn reiterated.

Nyaboka said she is willing to do part time contracts including laundry in stage side residential in order to put food on their table since money sent from home can not sustain them. She was about to abort the child after her boyfriend dumped her on discovering her pregnancy.

For Evelyn being a mother and a student as well has made her learn to be hardworking and believes that life shall never threaten her, she is ready to face what comes her way. She has never failed in her exams and aspires to be a good teacher who would train her students to be men and women of substance.

"I do not regret for what happened in the past but I use my mistakes as stepping stones in my road to success, Raymond is my motivation."
